Impressive illustration for Ford's Camapign in Madrid: Bakea
Bakea is an impressive artist from Behance, and i have been following his works though, today i want to share with u guys something i like. It's not about the artist anyway, because it's sort of like needless to say anymore, if u know Juan Carlos Paz- Bakea, you would know he is a very very good artists of his own.
What i want to blog about today is, the openness of client in illustration when it comes to creating a marketing campaign. Kudos For, Spain, i am sure everyone will notice your ad, and the price point is communicated in such a sweet way, this is what i called the wow factor. lets see how good this is.

Tshirt Design: Us and Them (Designer from bangkok)
speaking about t-shirt, i am here and will be frequently updates u guys on t-shirt design, if you happen to be going to bangkok, try to make a trip to see these people. as far as i am concern bangkok is one of the city which contains many many creative individual. Things can be cheap in price and stylish too. me and my wife love to shop over there anyway. well enough about bangkok.
how do i come across this brand? the brand "us and Them" is an independent label from bangkok, which strange to say, discovered in phuket when i was there last month. i did travel to bangkok twice or thrice and yet, i found the brand in another island. LOL
The artist feature alot of pencil stroke styling artworks which was quite good, i have tried to search the design i bought from the net but failed to do so, anyway i found their site displaying some of their work, so have a look on those then.

hehe..today...i'm going to blog my diy stuff, always love diy. i have always dreamt of wearing something i design my own. and yes, t-shirt is something which has been categorized as one of the easier form of artist expression besides putting down on canvas...but hey...t-shirt is a canvas too...we can paint on it...just make sure the medium is right thats it.
and i have studied many many many books, articles even tested on screen burning, casting and all, but i really have lots of constraint doing that..well well, just accidentally came across this thing called t-shirt marker, so i bought it and give it a try...well well, its meant for graduates to sign on their shirt tho. it's somehow a semi-failed project but i enjoyed it...and have a good laugh on it. my wife even said why don't get a plain romper and paint one for our son.
hopefully one day, switch could starts its own label. since i have been dreaming owning an independent label of my own.
hope u guys enjoyed this silly attempt which i am posting. so who is interested to get this very first prototype for an upcoming big label for 10 bucks?? heheh...good investment u know?? hehe. just joking, i will be wearing this for the coming weekend.

| get a plain boring yet comfortable t-shirt which u still want to wear. create an artwork print it on a sticker and cut out space u want to fill with ink and paste the sticker on the t-shirt, and insert a mounting board underneath the t-shirt |

| then u will get something similar to above. then use t-shirt marker, or i think spray paint on it will do too, or get some acrylic paint and use paint brush to paint. depending on your sticker material. for me i chose this shirt marker from artline |

qswitch design in progress
hmmmm after exploring into multiple possibilities where qswitch would go, maybe it's good to have a logo design. i have been finding ways to identified what should be the best for the brand, and something would call my own. back to a very very basic route where alot of designers would do, the brand is usually build from the owners name, however, since now the brand name is qswitch i would think the other way round of designing a logo based on my name. my name in chinese is (δΈ°).
Well this is not the first time, i am using my own name to do something, of course the very first one which i have used is to convert my own name into a tribal design for my tattoo. A look in the mirror with a stylized tribal on my arm helps me get through alot of pain and challenges. well save it for now, maybe i would post something about tribal tattoo design.
lets get back to logo design. have a view, i have used the chinese character to form a clean modern looking design. watch out for it, if u find any item with this, it might be created by me:

Design..
so what is design??? design can be anything. a ball is a design, a plate is a design, a poster is a design. without design there's no life (at least that's what i see it from my point of view). There's graphic design, packaging design, interior design, industrial design, inteligent design and so forth. All of these play its own role.
Design creates a representation. for example the chinese would have bowl, with chopsticks. these are designs.. due to the culture of the core food are rice and it's normally served plain with dishes on table, bowl and chopsticks are widely used, while people can starts digging rice right into the mouth uses chopsticks as well as taking dishes from the plate. While the european, are more on a meal on courses, with all things served at once, a plate is very necessary. fork and knife to cut poultry and meats as well as potatoes and bread. thus, plate, knife and fork is more widely used. this is design, but it's shaped by the way we live and culture we brought up to. but designs do evolved or shall i say we evolved with design around us.
For example cartoons and games, not only because the platform and the storyline is good, character design is also very important, without a proper character designed that suits the whole story line, it will failed.
Design also enhances the total outlook of everything. for instance if it's a cola drink without the word coke or pepsi, people couldnt relate the product to. so this is what we called as a brand design, brand design is very important for the world today, it's for recognition, its for the owner of the brand to get a sense of belonging. it's for all the brand owner to make a footprint regardless what industries they are in.
Talking about logo design, i have been fond of design, appreciating design, conceptualizing works and creative works, however, since i do not pursuit my tertiary studies from an art platform, it took me years to learn the skill of executing designs digitally, i have been toying around with many brand that i would called my own previously, it didn't really took off since the thinking is not mature, however today i wish to share with everyone, and hopefully everyone that read my blogs, understand how i started, and also the whole conceptualizing process of my web, my label and my design.
Q.switch as the logo with a special Q in post modern leaf shape box, the silhouette of Q left the tail of the Q looks like a switch button. A simplistic and minimalist design is what i am looking for my brand design. With a simple tagline to demonstrate what i wanted to do or say to the world. Hoping for supports from everyone.
